Education:
Raadsveld was educated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rotterdam and then attended the Michaelis School of Fine Art in Cape Town from 1972 to 1974.
Lives and works in South West Cork, Ireland.
During her education, Carla Raadsveld already received several scholarships, which enabled her to travel to Italy and South Africa and be educated there. Even after that, Raadsveld remained focused on abroad; The artist has lived in Ireland since 2001, although she can still be found regularly in the Netherlands and Belgium. Various subjects can be discovered in the paintings of Raadsveld. Some works have an African theme, but Raadsveld also often paints ladies, and in the series called 'feel good' and 'tickled pink' a central place is reserved for the 'silly cat' and chickens. Raadsveld always prepares her work with a black layer, which gives her work a special structure.
