De Jong was educated at the Free Academy in The Hague.
Lives and works in
Cor de Jong especially likes to work directly. This is related to the importance of the formation process: while making his art, De Jong likes to leave room for feelings and elements that he himself had not expected. Without a preconceived idea, the end result is therefore always a surprise. In this process, De Jong uses various techniques, including sanding, sticking, cutting and printing. Although his work seems abstract, it often also contains figurative elements.
