Franciscus Antonius Lissone (1877-1936) Frans Lissone is the third son of Jacobus and Cathatrina Lissone. He trained as a painter at the Art Academy in Amsterdam and was also active as a tour guide at the family business until World War I. Pupil of JA Rust and ES Witkamp Jr. Lived and worked in Amsterdam, Veneti_ Muiden, Bloemendaal and then in Nieuwer-amstel (now Amstelveen). Was a member of Arti et Amicitiae and De? Independents? in Amsterdam. Before the First World War, he regularly went out as a tour guide for tour groups of the Lissone company. In that capacity he visited the 1905 world exhibition in St.Louis (USA). Was friends with painter Monnickendam. Frans Lissone did not have to live from his paintings and led a bohemian life. So does he have a number of years ? with his wife Jeanette - lived and painted in Venice, until he was expelled from the city for inappropriate behavior and forbidden to ever return. The reason was that he was regularly found dead drunk at night on the Rialto Bridge. In addition, he has regularly visited the city of Tunis.
