Frans Molenaar was a Dutch fashion designer known for his haute couture designs. Molenaar studied from 1955 to 1958 in Amsterdam at the Vocational School for Tailors. He then gained work experience with Charles Montaigne, Gerard Pipart and Nina Ricci. In 1967 he started his own company under the name Frans Molenaar Couture. Besides designing clothes, Molenaar also ventured into other design areas. He has worked with Ford, Pearl and Royal Leerdam Crystal, among others. His style is described as timeless, simple and modern and Molenaar will go down in history as a pioneer in the field of fashion.
