Geurt van DIJK (Heteren 1941) Trained as a visual artist at the Academy of Visual Arts in Arnhem. Geurt van Dijk works in a wide area of the visual arts. He works as a sculptor, etcher, graphic artist, lithographer, painter and draftsman. His work is classified in academic mannerism. Initially he worked in Gelderland. In the nineties of the twentieth century he moved to Eppenhuizen in the province of Groningen. Geurt van Dijk also became a teacher at the Minerva Academy in Groningen.[2] His work is regularly exhibited. Together with the visual artist Hans van der Pennen, he made a double exhibition in 1996. In 2011, his work was included in the exhibition of the Minerva Academy in Groningen under the title Oude Helden - Jonge Meesters. Van Dijk received the Gelderland Graphics Prize in 1991. Together with Johnny van Doorn (Johnny the Selfkicker) he made Heteren, with texts by Van Doorn and prints by Van Dijk.
