Heidi Daamen, who lives and works in Amsterdam, married the artist Theo Daamen in 1963. She is a ceramist, but also paints and draws regularly. Her ceramics are based on the world of dolls and children. Innocence and Naivety play an important role. At the beginning of her working period she made somewhat thicker dolls with short limbs. These were primitive in nature. Later the figures acquire more subtlety and a slimmer figure. The plastics contain a lot of action and movement. In addition to plastics, she also makes tiles.
