Education: Jacob Zekveld was educated at the Free Academy in The Hague.
The subjects Van Zekveld focused on were people, fairytale scenes and animals. His style characteristic belongs to the nouvelle figuration. Van Zekveld has been awarded a number of prizes and subsidies, including a work grant and the Royal Subsidy for Free Painting.
