Jan Frederik Johannes Nagtegaal (1920 - 2000)
Nagtegaal was educated at the Kunstambachtsschool, the National Institute for Art Teachers and the Institute for Applied Arts Education in Amsterdam. Trained as a restorer, he also worked for the Rijksmuseum for a long time and restored many Dutch masters. Nagtegaal also painted a lot himself and is best known for his still lifes and maritime scenes.
