Janneke VIEGERS (Nijmegen 1952). Lives and works in Amsterdam.
Education Academy of Visual Arts, Arnhem
She was a teacher at the Academy of Visual Arts in Arnhem for five years. She also taught at the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam.
Makes large oil paintings, bird's-eye perspectives of cities as well as portraits and short films. Exhibits from 1980 and had several solo exhibitions. Her work can be found in the collections of the Senate and House of Representatives, the European Parliament, the Amsterdam Historical Museum, and the Museum of Modern Art in Arnhem.
