Nan Hoover was a pioneer of light, video and performance art. Her work can be found in the MOMA, Stedelijk Museum, etc. She exhibited Venice Biennale 1984, Documenta 6 and 8 Kassel, etc. She taught at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, among others. Was one of the permanent artists of Galerie de Appel, was president of International Art Forum for a while
