OSCAR HOGE, born in Ghent in 1884 and died in Ghent in 1965, was a Belgian painter. Education: The St. Lucas Academy in Ghent. The oeuvre of the Belgian Oscar Hoge shows a preference for figures, landscapes and still lifes. Besides ?esel painter? he was also a monumental artist who made murals in the church of Middelkerke and in the Thermenpaleis, the hotels ?Splendid and ?Forum? in Ostend. Oscar Hoge lived and worked in Ghent. He had his studio home on the corner of Koning Albertlaan and Meersstraat. The artist died in Ghent at the age of 81.
