Peter VOS (Utrecht 1935 - Utrecht 2010)
Graphic artist, draftsman, illustrator.
Education: Peter Vos, attended primary school and gymnasium in Utrecht. In 1953 he started his education at the Rijksacademie in Amsterdam. Peter Vos has lived and worked in Utrecht.
Peter Vos was best known for illustrations in books by Simon Carmiggelt and Renate Rubinstein. He has drawn many people and humorous animals: mainly birds and combinations of these. The beast quartet that Peter Vos drew in 1970 with masterly pen strokes became a national game. In the sixties and seventies he was an employee of Grafische Gezelschap De Luis in Utrecht and illustrator at Vrij Nederland.
