Ruttenberg, Walterus Lambertus Antonius (Walter) born in Hoorn on September 5, 1859, died Amsterdam March 6, 1921. Painter, draftsman and lithographer. Lived and worked in Nieuwer-Amstel (Amstelveen) until 1883. He was director of Bekker's tin factory in Dordrecht and left in 1903 for the printing house Senefelder Amsterdam. There he also became a printer of posters by Willy Sluiter. His subjects: cityscape, landscape (as a genre), river landscape, topographical representation, flower still life, ships. Exhibitions, among others, in The Hague and Amsterdam from 1895 to 1905 (Stedelijk museum in 1895).
