Born in Amsterdam in 1826, died in 1913 there.
Education: From 1840 to 1849 Steelink was educated at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam.
Willem Steelink was a late follower of the Hague School. He specialized in city views of Amsterdam and portraits of Amsterdammers. He engraved the frame of the stamp designed by Rudolf Stang, in honor of the inauguration of Queen Wilhelmina in 1898.
