Education: Royal Academy of Art (The Hague) Willy Belinfante lived and worked in Voorburg and later in Amsterdam.
Beach scenes, bookshops, receptions, meetings, choirs, people playing bridge are some of the well-known themes that appear in Willy Belinfante's work. What is entrusted to the canvas or etching is not a literal account of her experiences, but rather a characterization showing a keen powers of observation as well as humor and wisdom. As she puts it herself, painting is living and surviving.
