Yaacov Agam grew up in a religious family. He is an important artist of kinetic art. From the 1950s his work is mainly abstract and kinetic, which is very typical for him as an artist. In many of his works he tries to get the attendant to participate. Some of Yaacov Agam's well-known works are Double Metamorphosis III, Visual Music Orchestration, and several fountains in Paris and Tel Aviv. Yaacov also designed Agam in 1999 and made the trophy for the Eurovision Song Contest.
Yaacov Agam has always wanted to combine art and technique, and form and colour. In many of his works, the work of art changes depending on the position of the viewer. As a result, they are versatile works of art and the viewer 'makes' his own work of art, as it were.
