"Visible Thoughts XI", a striking abstract artwork of 100x100 cm by the gifted artist Alexander Vogels. Nice pasty (see photos).

Vogels (1952) is an abstract painter from Heerlen with a predilection for 'primitive' cultures. This is evident from his life: he spent his youth in Australia, he traveled several times through the Sahara and the Tassili Mountains in East Africa and he visited several Indian reservations. Primitive elements, inspired by cave drawings, are used by him as building blocks in his abstract works. For example, in "Visible Thoughts XI", the pencil pattern and geometric primitive shapes are characteristic of Birds.
Every artist has a creative father and a mother. According to Vogels, for him these were Kandinsky and Ger Lataster. The latter said about this: "But he has solved it in his own way." A wonderful compliment for a Dutch painter with a pure, individual style.
