Frank Lodeizen (Amsterdam, September 28, 1931 – May 28, 2013) was a Dutch visual artist, sculptor, graphic artist, set painter, painter and teacher at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam.
-Education: Self-taught.
As a young war orphan, he made friends among the group of poets De Vijftigers, moved in with artists of the Cobra movement and discovered pencil, etching needle and gouache himself. He became a well-known figure in the Amsterdam gallery and artist world and often collaborated with poets and writers, such as Hans Andreus, Simon Carmiggelt, Remco Campert and Hans Plomp.
He was also called 'the poet of the drypoint'.
