On April 25, 1986, on his 65th birthday. the famous Dutch painter Karel Appel was invited by Digital to show 'how the many possibilities of a VAX computer can also inspire an artist'. These color prints were made by Karel Appel on the occasion of the opening of the new headquarters of the company Digital in Utrecht, on a Digital Vax computer.
