    Education: Akademie der Bildenden Künste Munich
    He was commissioned by the Nazi Party in the 1930s to oversee the purge of what the party described as “ Entartete Kunst ” (degenerate art). It mainly concerned modern art from that time, such as abstract art and expressionism.
