Painter Charles Kvapil Education at the Academy in Antwerp. Settled in Montmartre/Paris, where he exhibited at the «Salon des Indépendants» in 1920. Success only came much later and he then experienced an uncertain existence as an artist. Preference for portraits, nudes, landscapes, still lifes, flowers, interiors. Realism and impressionism are interwoven in his works. His nudes are sometimes reminiscent of Renoir or Courbet. Work in the «Musée d'Art Moderne» in Paris.
