Fedor van Kregten is vooral bekend van zijn koeien gesitueerd in een fraai landschap. Hij woonde een groot deel van zijn leven in de buurschap Notter bij Wierden maar werkte o.a. in Drenthe en Den Haag. Hij reisde ook naar Marokko en Spanje en vond zijn inspiratie altijd in de natuur.
Op dit schilderij zijn ooit drie minieme wittige verfspatjes (muurverf?) terecht gekomen. Het verwijderen laat ik graag aan de volgende eigenaar over.
Het schilderij is al generaties in onze familie.
