Flip van der Burgt - Aisle, 14 static + book

Flip van der Burgt (1927-1977) was a well-known Dutch graphic artist. He was a very committed artist and a spider in the creative web of famous artists and writers of his time. In his short life, when he was only fifty years old, he created an extensive oeuvre, mainly consisting of graphic work. Although he was not religious, he remained inspired by the Bible throughout his life. Various series of woodcuts can be traced back to Biblical subjects: 'The 10 Commandments', 1962, 'Jonah' and Bible black and white' from 1966. He made his first 'Cross of the Cross' in 1957. It can be called a rarity that this series ' Cloister' now complete, offered in the original frames. This 'Crossroads' also includes the original book that the artist made. Work by Flip van der Burgt is in various Dutch and foreign museums as well as with private collectors and religious institutions. Total edition of all works is 25 pieces.
