- Hans BARENDS (Leiden, 4 december 1944) is een Nederlands beeldend kunstenaar. Hij is bekend door zijn olieverfschilderijen van abstract impressionistische schilderijen in poëtische sensitieve stijl en zijn portretten. Barends volgde zijn opleiding vanaf 1960 aan de Koninklijke Academie te Den Haag. Door zijn onafhankelijkheid heeft hij verschillende overgangen, in de loop der jaren, in stijl ontwikkeld.
