The first copy was presented to Queen Juliana on 23 May 1979 on the occasion of the opening of the then office complex of the Ministries of Justice and of the Interior on the Houtmarkt in The Hague. In the photo the ministers de Ruyter and Wiegel, in the middle Queen Juliana. This copy will have been given as a gift, on September 1, 1981 (see inscription on the back).
Both 82-metre-high office towers - designed by Architectenbureau Lucas+Niemeijer and characterized at the time as a top achievement in the field of architecture and construction in the Netherlands - were demolished in 2016 and partly converted into residential towers.
