The Tiger that painted the things he couldn't bear to see.
Studeerde op de Academie voor Beeldende Kunsten te Tilburg ( 1954-1956). Kreeg les van Nico Molenkamp en Jan Dijker. Hij studeerde ook in Antwerpen, Parijs en in Oostenrijk, olv. Oscar Kokoschka.
Hij had exposities in binnen- en buitenland en zijn werk hangt tussen beroemde collecties van nationale en internationale musea.
De onderwerpen zijn zeer uiteenlopend; hebben vaak te maken met zijn leven en belevingswereld, maar altijd in een originele visie gerealiseerd die heel eigen is aan de persoon van Jacques Slegers.
