Jan Sirks - City Hall Bridge Utrecht

I am selling this hand-signed graph of the Stadhuisbrug in Utrecht with the Dom in the background by Jan Sirks (1885-1938). The title "Stadhuisbrug Utrecht" and the name "Jan Sirks" are written in pencil below the graph. The size measured within the passepartout is 11cm wide and 23cm high. The frame is 21cm wide and 35cm high. The graph was framed at the time by the company CM Schoonheim Jr. from Utrecht. The edge of the frame has some damage that needs some attention.
Jan Sirks was born February 23, 1885 Rotterdam and died March 11, 1938 Zeist. Jan Sirks was a graphic artist who specialized in painting, watercolouring, drawing and etching of the ports of Rotterdam, animals, cityscapes and landscapes in a romantic realistic style. Sirks was co-founder of the Rotterdam artist group 'De Branding'. Despite the fact that Jan Sirks was self-taught, he was one of the few Rotterdammers who had a relatively good life in the art world.
