Jeroen is schilder sinds 1977 en sindsdien geheel self-supporting en
een graag geziene exposant in vele galeries door het hele land.
Exposeert frequent sinds 1978 in onder andere Amsterdam, Tilburg,
Haarlem en Bergen (NH). zijn werk vind de weg naar zowel particulier als
gemeentelijk bezit.
Hij werkt voornamelijk in acryl en olieverf op linnen en papier.
Het werk heeft een abstract expressionistisch karakter met als basis
natuur en landschap. Kleuren isoleren de vormen binnen het beeld, hun
gewicht wordt al schilderend bepaald.
De Carpentier reconstrueert in een langdurig proces de harmonie die in de natuur als zo vanzelfsprekend geldt.
