Jits Bakker is de maker van onder meer de Jaap Edentrofee (1972), de sculptuur van de internationale Hockey Champions Trophy, het beeld De Junior - voor het sporttalent van het jaar - en het beeldje dat bestemd is voor de winnaars van de Tom Sebastiaan Gans Prijs. Ook ontwierp hij de sculptuur Dirigent, een prijs van de Nederlandse Vereniging van Commissarissen en Directeuren.
Hij geniet nationale en internationale bekendheid en heeft een permanente openlucht museum in de Bilt op landgoed Beerschoten.
Deze sculptuur (op een andere sokkel) staat eveneens tentoongesteld in de Rijswijkse Schouwburg, de woonplaats van Buziau (foto bijgevoegd). Naar beste weten zijn er slechts twee uitvoeringen. Het kunstwerk is circa 30 jaar geleden ooit als een vriendendienst in de artiesten wereld (als zakelijk geschenk) geschonken.
