Johannes Josseaud - Ets, Heythuijzen hofje te Haarlem - Sold

Johannes Josseaud was born in Amsterdam on April 21, 1880. He lived and worked in Amsterdam until 1902, Bussum until 1903, Amsterdam until 1911, Schoten (Haarlem) until 1919, Zandvoort until 1926) and until his death on November 10, 1935 in Haarlem. In Amsterdam he was taught by the painter/illustrator LWR Wenckebach. Johan Josseaud painted, drew, watercolored, etched and lithographed cityscapes (especially Amsterdam and Haarlem), landscapes, interiors, still lifes and seascapes. He has remained a relatively unknown artist. His work is included in the collection of the Frans Halsmuseum in Haarlem.
