Martin van Waning - Gezicht op Dordrecht

I hereby offer for sale a special and appealing painting by the well-known visual artist Martin van Waning (1889 - 1972).
It is an exceptionally large oil painting on panel of 165x225 cm - in excellent condition - depicting a scene in Dordrecht. More precisely, it is a view of the famous stubby tower from the Grote Kerk, seen from the Bomhaven with the waters of the Oude Maas to the left. Certain elements of the performance are somewhat fantasized, such as the bank on the other side. Despite this imperfection, it is a cheerful, colorful and brightly painted work, in which the painter's specialism, the famous cloudscapes with the sunlight shining through, stands out.
This representation of Dordrecht has also been printed by the artist.
The painting does not need cleaning, new varnish and new frame.
