Peter Bes studied at the National Academy of Visual Arts in Amsterdam in the 1960s. Lives and works in Anna Pavlovna Peter Bes is a multidisciplinary artist. He has a lot of experience with printing methods and has experimented with them a lot over the years. He also makes objects, paintings, drawings and photographs. His works show an abstracted reality, with large, smooth areas of color and a cinematic appearance due to the contrast between light and dark. Bes often makes portraits and cityscapes of people who are travelling, waiting or in motion.
