He has been active in the painting world since 1960, and from that year on he developed a figurative painting style. In addition to being a painter, Reinier Lucassen was also a senior teacher of painting at the AKI in Enschede. Reinier Lucassen's best-known work is 'A cozy corner'. This painting was on display for years as a small work in the trains of the National Railways. Reinier Lucassen often uses characters in his work that are typical of his personal style.
