Although Don Ken's work can be attributed to street art, Ken didn't start his career as a member of a graffiti 'gang' that created works of art on walls and trains, but became world famous for his fashion photography. In his photography, often for exclusive labels, he was inspired by the pop art of Andy Warhol. With this inspiration, Ken started creating his own art, using cartoon characters from Walt Disney. This resulted in a lawsuit with an extraordinary outcome: Ken is now the only artist in the world who is allowed to use Disney characters in art.
