The Pottery Factory KJ Mobach was founded in 1895 by the Frisian potter family Mobach in Utrecht. Since that time, the factory has been producing pottery according to an almost unchanged process in which unique pieces and small series are turned or built up from clay and then glazed. In 1994, on the occasion of the centenary in 1995, the Mobach Ceramic Collection Foundation was established. There is also a Mobach Ceramics Museum in Utrecht. In addition to a pottery workshop, the Mobach family also owned a shop in Utrecht. Peter Bouman took over this store and expanded it into design store Mobach Design. To date, Mobach Keramiek is still located on the Kanaalweg in Utrecht.
