Nelly Degouy (1910-1979)
Nelly DEGOUY (Antwerp, March 16, 1910 - there, November 28, 1979) was a Flemish artist (with French parents). She was an illustrator, wood engraver, binding designer and designer of occasional graphics and ex-libris. She was the wife of the graphic artist D_sir_ Acket (1905-1987). She was educated at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp and the Higher Institute for Visual Arts Sint Lucas in Brussels. She worked in the studio of Edward Pellens. She drew and engraved numerous illustrations for Christmas stories by Marie Gevers, for work by Berthe Delepine, Stijn Streuvels, Tine Rabhooy and Jan Vercammen.Source ; rkd , wikipedia , piron
