Education: In the period 1955-1963 Rob Figee followed his education at both the Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp and the Academy of Visual Arts in Rotterdam.
Figee, lives and works in Gelselaar. Rob Figee finds the essential basis for his work in natural forms and music. Achieving an abstracted essence of both in total equilibrium is important to Figee.
Characteristics in Figee's work are drawing-like elements, combined with (semi) transparent surfaces. Rob Figee strives for a final balance in the composition, the search for a tranquility that is not boring.
