Toon Pluymers (1910-1967)
Anthonie 'Toon' Pluymers lived from 1910 to 1967. The originally Zeeland painter lived in Amsterdam from 1938. Here he first followed the Drawing Teachers Training to become a free artist, he later also studied at the Higher Institute in Antwerp. He was a member of the artists' associations 'The Independents', 'De Brug' and 'St Lucas'.
