Founded in 1927
The members of De 8 (architecture) were educated in the atmosphere of the Amsterdam School, but they turned against the apron architecture of the Amsterdam School. In addition, they also oppose De Stijl. The 8 strived for a functionalist architecture that provided for the needs of society.
