Deze tentoonstelling was de eerste grote overzichtstentoonstelling van het werk van de kunstenaar Anton Heyboer. De tentoonstelling had als doel een zo volledig mogelijk beeld van Heyboer te kunnen tonen.
De etsen en collages van Heyboer hebben een duidelijke onderlinge samenhang: dezelfde gestileerde figuren, dezelfde getallen en hetzelfde beeld van gekruiste lijnen. Er is dus een steeds terugkerende beeldtaal. De beelden die de toeschouwer ziet komen voort uit een werkelijkheid die een andere structuur heeft dan de voor hen bekende wereld en die een geheel eigen logica bezit. Het gaat om de unieke werkelijkheid van Heyboer zelf. Om in de etsen en collages door te dringen, moeten deze benaderd worden vanuit de wetten van Heyboers werkelijkheid, waarmee ze onlosmakelijk verbonden zijn.
Deze catalogus geeft de lezer een kijkje in de unieke werkelijkheid van Anton Heyboer en bevat een lijst met werken die in deze tentoonstelling te zien waren.
