Gerard (Ger) Lataster (Schaesberg, February 16, 1920 - Amsterdam, March 19, 2012) was a Dutch painter who is considered to be a member of abstract expressionism. Lataster, son of a miner, attended the Applied Arts School in Maastricht. This work was purchased by the previous owner in the Post Garcia gallery in Maastricht. Purchase price was 4000 euros.
