About the artist:
Harry van ter Toolen (Bloemendaal, 1949) is no stranger to the Haarlem art world. In 2011 he participated in the Exposition Internationale Plein Ciel in Lautenbach Zell, France. Since 2002 he regularly makes drawings for Haarlems Dagblad. In November 2012 Harry exhibited a series of erotic male nudes during the Roze Kunstlijn in the Figeetheater in Haarlem.
Harry has been drawing and painting since high school. Until the eighties he mainly made still lifes and landscapes. Later male nudes and animals were added.
In recent years he often paints fish swimming in schools. He draws with felt-tip pen and paints with acrylic paint on canvas or MDF. Apart from his studio, he likes to work in nature.
