Interesting and well designed relatively rare heavy glass bowl with stylistic shapes of cockles and shells. The design resembles a chunk of ice. Very decorative. Without a doubt a conversation piece. Designed and manufactured by Jolanda Prinsen (Haarlem, Venice). The bowl is not signed or marked. In good condition. Dimensions bowl: approx. 23 x 19 x 5.5 cm Jolana Prinsen: Born in Harlem. Lives and works in Venice. Gerrit Rietveld Academy, Amsterdam, Sculpture and ceramics and glass, Atelier 63, UvA Art History. The central theme in her work is always man and nature. In addition to her inspiration, the glass bowls, goblets and free objects also clearly show the playful struggle with the incalculable nature of the material, glass. | |||||
