Joop Kropff (Den Haag 1892-1979 Delft)
De kunstenaar Joop Kropff wordt gerekend tot de zogenaamde 'Nieuwe Haagse School'. Hij maakte deel uit van de avantgardistische Haagse kunstenaarscollectieven de Posthoorngroep (1956-'62) en Fugare (1960-'67). Ook was Kropff lid van Pulchri Studio in Den Haag en Pictura in Amsterdam. Kropff schilderde voornamelijk bloemen, landschappen, naakten, portretten en stillevens in een naturalistisch-impressionistische stijl. Tevens maakte hij abstracte werken. Musea: o.a. Gemeentemuseum, Den Haag; Stedelijk Museum, Schiedam; Rijkscollectie.
