Luciano Lattanzi was born in Carrara in 1925. He died in 1999. In 1947 he graduated in English language and literature from the Eastern University in Naples. In 1956, thanks to a scholarship, he attended the University of Minnesota in the US. There he met his future wife. In 1957 he published the Manifesto of Semantic Painting in London (introduction by RK Elliot) and exhibited at the New Vision Gallery in London. Therefore, Lattanzi must be regarded as the theorist and creator of semantic painting, distinct from the abstract expressionism of Pollock and other artists of the period. In 1964 he was invited to the XXXII Venice Biennale.
Both works will be shipped carefully and flat with Track & Trace.
