Education: From 1942 to 1944, Sanders attended the Hague Craft School. From 1953 to 1958 he followed an evening course in illustrative art at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. In 1959 Sanders attended Kees Bol's painting class. Has worked in, among others, The Hague, Scheveningen, Waddinxveen, Stiphout, France and Groningen.
Sanders he is best known as a contemporary realist artist. He made, among other things, abstract serigraphs, paintings, drawings, linoleum cuts and etchings of landscapes and still lifes. Sanders taught drawing at the Academy of Industrial Design in Eindhoven from 1964 to 1973. From 1980 to 1986 he taught painting at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague.
Exhibitions and prizes:
In 1963 Sanders received the encouragement prize from Gouda, which was accompanied by a solo exhibition. Three times he received a travel grant from the government, with which he traveled to France, Spain and Portugal. He received a Stipendium in both 1970 and 1971. Three times Sanders received a prize at a Graphic Bi_nnale. Sanders has had a number of solo exhibitions, including in the Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven. His work is included in several museum collections.
