Lumen-Numen Group

International Artists' Group founded in Antwerp in 1967, the core of which was formed by the painters Kari Bert, Emiel De Keyser, Ben Koelman, Serge Largot, Gilberte De Leger, Marcel Rademakers (Mark Meekers) and the sculptors Jan Dries and Roland Monteyne. Together they evolved towards a specific direction in painting. The special features of their work consisted of a thorough lyrical abstraction, a very intensive light effect of the colors and a content of an ethereal nature. They felt an affinity with the École de Paris (Bazaine, Le Moal, Tal Coat)
