Van Maarseveen (1926-2012) begon zijn loopbaan als kunstenaar. Daarna werd hij tevens advocaat. Van 1968 tot zijn pensioen in 1991 was hij hoogleraar aan de Erasmus Universiteit in Rotterdam. Tegelijk werkte hij onverdroten aan zijn grafische oeuvre.
Deze speciale linosnede uit 1968 is gedrukt in zwart wit. Gesigneerd. Voorzien van passepartout en allumium, lijst.
Afmeting prent h. 22 cm. br. 16 cm. Inclusief lijst: H. 30 cm. Br. 25 cm.
In 1960 richte hij in Utrecht het grafisch genootschap de Luis op, dat ook luizen cahiers uitgaf.
