Erik MAGNUSSEN (Copenhagen 1940 - 2014)

Ceramicist Erik Magnussen completed his studies in Copenhagen in 1960 and two years later went to work as a designer for the porcelain factory Bing & Grondahl. He combined his artistic talents with the practical elements of industrial design and designed, among other things, simple, geometric home and kitchen products. He worked successively at different companies. In 1970 he designed a series of furniture together with Per Kragh-Muller, in 1976 he worked for Stelton and designed, among other things, the Thermal Carafe and in 1978 he designed kitchen utensils for Georg Jensen.
