Frans Mars (22 February 1903 - 26 May 1973) was a Dutch painter and teacher from Wormerveer. Painting lesson by Willem Jansen and the Flemish impressionist painter Arthur Verbeeck (in Bergen). Member of artists' association Zaenden. In addition to windmills and portraits, he also painted landscapes in the timber port of Zaandam. Active in the De Zaansche Molen Association. Work in the Mill Museum, Westfries Museum and the Zaanseschans Museum. (Source Wikipedia).
